Illness Care

What is Illness Care?

According to WHO, Illness Care improves the patient’s quality of life and their families facing the problems associated with life-threatening illness. No patient should ever be told “there is nothing more that can be done”—it is never true and may be seen as abandonment of care.

Why choose Illness Care?

We believe that a disease, however advanced it is, whatever treatments the patient has gone through, there is always something which can be done to improve the quality of the life remaining to the patient. We focus on the relief and prevention of suffering in order to distress physical, psychosocial and spiritual pain. Our goal is to maximise the quality of life in providing psychosocial and spiritual care and help in providing relief from pain and other physical symptoms.
