Scott McKenzie grew up in Newport Beach. In his early twenties, he helped care for his grandmother at Bayside Village — the mornings, the medications, the slow walks along the harbor, the long nights. He learned then what good care looks like: attention, patience, presence, and a family that isn't doing it alone.
He founded Golden Age Companions in 2011 to give other Orange County families that same standard of care. What began as one family serving one neighborhood is now a federally trademarked California brand — USPTO Reg. No. 7,015,311 — a licensed California Home Care Organization serving Orange County and Riverside County.
The company is still family-owned, still personally led, and still built on one promise: every case gets the standard Scott would demand for his own grandmother.
